InstaFlow’s background engine operates as a scheduled cron service. Every worker run queries pending containers from Cloudflare D1, locks active queues to prevent duplicate publishing, polls Instagram and YouTube processing status, and executes the final publish call.
Fault Tolerance & Reliability
- Distributed Mutex Locks: Guaranteed single-worker execution prevents race conditions and accidental double-posts.
- Exponential Backoff: If Instagram API returns a temporary 5xx or rate-limit code, the queue automatically pauses and retries with backoff.
- Stuck Item Recovery: Containers stuck in processing for over 5 minutes are flagged and rescheduled automatically.
